Understanding Immigration and Refugee Law on Relationship Breakdown:
E-Learning for Working with Women Leaving Abusive Relationships - ONLINE

This 2 part series of courses is designed to introduce participants to the most critical Immigration and Refugee Law issues for women leaving abusive relationships. It will provide participants with current, relevant and accessible legal information so that they can assist their clients in navigating the relevant legal, immigration and refugee systems.

Each of the 2 courses, Parts 1 and 2, are organized into 4 modules. Each module is comprised of a video lecture with accompanying power-point presentation. Additionally, resources and information, including relevant legislation, will be provided to supplement the learning of each module. Successful completion of the course will require participation in a weekly online discussion forum for the duration of the course as directed by the course instructor.

This course is designed to introduce participants to the most critical family law issues for women leaving abusive relationships. It will provide participants with current, relevant and accessible legal information so that they can assist their clients in navigating the legal system.

The course is organized into 5 modules. Each module is comprised of a video lecture synchronized with a Power-Point Presentation. Additionally, resources and information, including relevant legislation, will be provided to supplement the learning of each module. Successful completion of the course will require participation in a weekly online discussion forum for the duration of the course, as directed by the course instructor.
